Florida Parishes Folklife Project

Folklife in the Florida Parishes, published by the Louisiana Folklife Program, Division of the Arts and the Center for Regional Studies, Southeastern Louisiana University in 1989, was the final product of a multi-year project focusing on the Florida Parishes of Louisiana. The book consists of an overview of the region by project director Joel Gardner and the articles about the cultural subregions with the area, ethnic groups, and folk traditions practiced there.
