Cyril Billiot is well known as on one of the most accomplished Houma craftspeople. He is one of the only weavers to maintain a tradition of split cypress basketry among the Houma tribe and is working to pass this skill on to his son Easton. He is also an accomplished carver who works with cypress to craft beautiful animal replicas.
